Whoa, August

0 min read
Summer's going away too fast and there's still so much to do. Getting through my projects for Anime Detour once more. Hoping to debut at least two new cosplays in 2014, maybe three if I end up with more time to work. Making enormous props is more fun than I thought it would be. I'm hoping to start work on some new pillow designs; Aperture, N7, Avatar, and Doctor Who, for a start. It's been a bit tight as far as budget, so we'll see what the fall brings and whether winter knocks it all down again. Nobody reads these, but that's okay because it acts as like a jump to my projects. "So I have said it, so it shall be!"

Post-Detour

Anime Detour 2013 ended earlier today. Pretty decent year; some not so nice things happened, but there was some pretty awesome shiz going down as well. Only managed to debut one of my new cosplays at the con, sadly. Arcanine gijinka on Saturday during the Pokemon photoshoot. Otherwise, I played the King in Cosplay Chess - on the Magic side, as Marik Ishtar. Not too shabby. We got lost on the ride home. .-. But that's okay, because we made it and everything we took came back in one piece. Including my new half-foot tall Seto Kaiba figurine. So that's pretty awesome. Someone go tell the snow it's time to go away.

OMG MARCH.

I want the snow to melt. I just want it gone. Moarcon was a lovely affair and my Team Rocket challenge was just the right amount of difficult. Hurray. Anime Detour starts next month. I'm excited to get there and be part of the ridiculousness that goes on. I urge anyone going to attend Cosplay Chess on Friday - Magic versus Technology. Sounds like fun, right? Totally is. This is less enthusiastic than I want it to be because I'm sick. ): Allson-y.

Heeeyyy, I found you on here. 8I (This is Paul and David's tiny imp of a sister.)

I was feeling too shy and pesty to ask you this earlier, but I've always been curious about this... How long have you been making plushies and how long does it usually take you to make one? The ones you've shown look great and I'm curious about the time and effort put into them.
Heyo!

The first plushie I made was the Jake. Seriously. It took me a couple days, I think about three, to fully put together the shell, and not long at all to stuff it. Cake took longer, just because of the spots and stuff.
Ahh, okay! :meow: Yeah, I heard that Cake was really hard to make. Three days, huh?
Just about, yeah. I kinda let him lay around for a while, so my memory might be a little off, but I'm guessing that's about all for Jake. He really wasn't that difficult to put together.
